Jake and Tom Conquer the World

Jake and Tom decided to take the week off to celebrate the holidays with their friends and families, so unfortunately, their review of "Rise of Skywalker" will have to be held off until next Sunday.

But rather than not releasing an episode, they decided to put out one of their "reserve" shows, this one featuring their review of Netflix's series "Living With Yourself", starring Paul Rudd!

Listen in as the guys break down the plot of the show, as well as the subtext they only caught after the series's end.

The holiday season is once again upon us, and Jake and Tom are here to help ring in all of your festive revelries!  Listen in as they and their good friend Matt talk about how they spent their Turkey Day, as well as sharing a couple of their "Thanksgiving Mishap" stories with their friends & fellow podcasts over at "Gravity Beard

After that, they sit down to discuss a movie that Tom's waited for for literally a decade, Martin Scorsese's "The Irishman".

Did it live up to Tom's expectations?  Was it too long?  Just how bad was the de-aging effects?  And most importantly, was this yet another horrible movie that Jake was pissed that he had to sit through?

And finally, the show wraps up by discussing Scorsese's controversial statements in regard to Marvel movies as they guys ask themselves if maybe he has a point...?

Ever since the original "Zombieland" debuted in theaters way back in 2009, fans of the film clamored for a sequel.  Finally, thier patience was rewarded this fall with "Zombieland 2: Double Tap".

But what a lot of folks forget is that long awaited film is not the only sequel the franchise has spawned.  In 2013, Amazon Prime had an experiment in which they presented their audience a batch of pilots, leaving the viewers to decide which one would be picked up for series.  And sure enough, one of those shows up for selection was a television spin-off of "Zombieland".

Listen in as Jake and Tom go over that pilot, discussing why they they think it failed, as well as what they wish they could have seen more of.

Joining Jake and Tom for this very special episode is none other than their good friend and podcasting mentor, Roejen Razorwire, host of the always excellent show "Project: Archivist".

Roe has entrusted the guys to be the custodians of a Project: Archivist tradition, and that's the yearly rundown of the previous year's bizarre news items involving the one subject that no one really ants to talk about.

Stories covered in this episode include the various hijinks from our friendly neighbors to the north, one man's revenge against his boss, how NOT to reintroduce yourself to a childhood friend, the logistics of commercial-grade microwaves, medical emergencies, and an in depth analysis of the average rock band's tour bus.

If you like what you hear in this episode (and why wouldn't you?) & wanna get more from Roe, then check out the show he and his co-host Lobo run over at projectarchivist.podbean.com.
