After an absence of several years, Jake and Tom are thrilled to welcome their globe trotting friend Jon Stump back to the show.  For the episode, the guys decided to forgo the idea of having "a topic" in favor have just letting the conversation take them where it wanted.  Listen in as the guys delve into tangents such as:

• How Jake and Tom still can't wrap their heads around how time zones work.

• Jon's sudden (and unwilling) decision to become a "food minimalist".

• Their experiences with weight loss.

• The challenge of living in areas of the country that aren't used to dealing with snowstorms.

• Jake's son "takes one for the team" and provides him with a much needed quarantine.

• The guys' initial impression of Amazon's "Invincible" series.

• Tom's compulsion to buy "prestige editions" of comic books.

• The guys miss comic cons.

• Anticipation for "The Suicide Squad".

• Jake discovers that he's from a parallel universe.

• Tom's surprise visit up to Tom's house.

• Jake is mainlining all of "Star Trek" as fast as humanly possible.

• Jon's stories about being in Vietnam as the world was entering into lockdown.

Due to technical difficulties (also known as Tom broke his computer), the guys are having to delve into the archives for this new episode.  And as such, they pulled out everyone's favorite archivist, Roejen Razorwire!  But first, a little background.

This episode was originally recorded a full year prior to its release in the spring of 2020.  And it started out with every intention of reviewing the back half from the fourth season of "Rick and Morty".  But, well, the spirits were flowing, and the three drunken dorks decided to let the conversation go where it wanted to.

So listen in as the guys make fun of each others drinks of choice, tease the possible return of one of the guys' favorite segments of the podcast, feeling hesitant to return to movie theaters so soon after lockdown ended, Roe's encounter with a "Karen in the Wild" while returning all of the empty bottles he accumulated while in quarantine, the difficulties of dealing with people accustomed to instant gratification that were then having to get used to wait for stuff, as well as Tom's role as his office's "COVID Bouncer".

Be sure to check out Roe on his amazing podcast, "Project: Archivist".  And don't forget to help Jake and Tom in their quest for global dominance by rating them highly on your podcatcher of choice, following them on social media, and by sharing the show with your friends.

Listen in as Jake and Tom welcome back their pal Ryan (host of the world famous "NerdRage Podcast") to talk about what may very well be the most coveted and controversial comic book movie of all time - "Zack Snyder's Justice League".

Three weeks prior to the film's streaming debut, the guys sit down to briefly talk about the history of the films as well as the good, the bad and the ugly parts of the fans' campaign to get the film released.  Along the way, they discuss what they expected to see when they finally had a chance to watch the film the way it was originally intended to be seen.

Flash forward four weeks, and the guys regroup after having had the chance to view and digest the entire four hours of the film.  From there, they get into what they think worked better in this version of the story versus the theatrical release, what they think could have been left by the wayside, and what they think the next step going forward will be for these films.

Jake and Tom are finishing what they started two episodes ago and are wrapping up their full review of WandaVision.  Only this time, they're bringing back their pals John and Roe from the podcast, "Old Nerds Drinking"!

After Roe unfortunately steps out to recover from an illness, the remaining dorks break down their thoughts on the show.  Namely, they discuss how the show lived up to the expectations put forth by both the creators as well as an overabundance of fan theories,  how the guys may (or may not) have been prepared for the series based on their comics fandom, what they think the success of the show means for the future of the MCU (as well as entertainment as a whole), as well as how this show succeeded where Marvel's recent programs failed in the past.

After you're done listening to this episode, do yourself a world of good by checking out John and Roe over at "Old Nerds Drinking", as well as following them on their excellent Facebook group.

Jake and Tom planned to record a helluva good episode this week, but, well...  Life kinda got in the way.  But they're taking their commitment to regularly releasing shows seriously, so they're digging out this nugget for the listeners!

A few weeks ago, they guys recorded the first part of their upcoming "Before and After" review of Zack Snyder's Justice League with their pal Ryan from The Nerd Rage Podcast, but before they could get that started, Ryan was running behind.  Luckily, Tom hit the record button to capture the conversation he and Jake were having while waiting because they had the time to discuss something near and dear to them that they never seem to actually talk about on the show - Comic Books!

So listen in as your two favorite drunken dorks converse about the changing ways they've been reading funny books, their love of "shelf porn", their temptation to get into "custom bound" comic books, the pros and cons of reading books digitally (and what it will mean for the printed medium), Tom's burning desire to give money to Chip Zdarsky, how the guys both love and hate huge omnibuses, as well as their longing to return to the days when folks could go to conventions.

This week, Jake and Tom are taking a "better late than never" attitude and are reviewing the two biggest superhero releases in nearly a year - "Wonder Woman 1984" and the first two episodes of "WandaVision"!

Along the way, the guys discuss what kind of impact Warner Brothers' decision to release all of their new movies on HBOMax will have on the film industry, whether or not some shows are better viewed week by week or all in a binge, the possibility that some projects are successful only because they're part of a bigger franchise, as well as some speculation on the deeper meanings of the shows they're reviewing.

This very special episode features not only the vocal talents of Mister Rojen Razorwire, but it was also produced by the podcasting legend himself!

Roe has bequeathed the fellas Project Archivist's annual "Fast Food Follies" episode.  And in addition to learning the dangers of stealing one of Jake's McNuggets or (even worse) forgetting his spicy mustard, the fellas discuss the following:

A Florida Man Smashes Hot Pizza Into His Father's Face Upon Discovering He Helped in His Birth

Another Florida Man Smashes a Taco Bell Burrito Into His Wife's Face During an Argument

Yet Another Florida Man is Arrested for Smashing a Cheeseburger Into the Face of His Sleeping Girlfriend

A South Carolina McDonald's Employee Assaults Their Manager With Crispy Bacon

Yet Another Florida Man Attacks the Mother of His Child With Sweet and Sour Sauce Because She Brought Him the Wrong Meal From McDonald's

A Connecticut Woman a Pregnant McDonald's Worked Over a "Messed Up" McChicken Sandwich And Proceeds to Make Her Own

An Upset McDonald's Employee Hits a Coworker in the Face With a Cheeseburger For Working Too Slowly

The World's Biggest Ketchup Fan Storms a McDonald's Kitchen Because She Didn't Get Enough Packets

An Oregon Woman is Arrested For Pouring Liquor Down a Taco Bell Worker's Throat

A Tennessee Woman Assaults a McDonald's Manager With a Stun Gun and Proceeds to Drag Him Out of the Drive-Thru Window

A Man Pulls a Gun On a Popeyes Worker Over a Condiment Clash

A Memphis Woman Pulls a Gun on a McDonald's Employee Because She Received Ketchup Instead of Jelly

And finally, the guys accidentally discover the legend of the Wereseagull!!

This episode starts out as all of Jake and Tom's episodes do - They talk about drinkin'!  This time around, however, features cautionary tales from Roe describing his misadventures with the dreaded tag team of mead and a "special" Rice Krispy treat!

Along the way, the guys get back to their geek roots by discussing casting rumors surrounding the second season of Disney's "The Mandolorian", whether or not it's even necessary to watch every episode in the "Skywalker Saga" (as well as if there are any redeeming values in"bad" Star Wars movies), the safety rating of Imperial Tie Fighters, the possibility that "Strange New Worlds" might be the project that "Star Trek" fans have been dreaming of, and whether or not our views of "Star Trek" have changed as we've gotten older.

And seeing as the guys have Roe on an episode, they couldn't pass up the opportunity to cover an odd news story!  This time around, it's about a Detroit priest who's chosen a rather... unusual way to serve his flock.

2020 has been a strange year, folks.  Masks, killer bees, no sports, and a reincarnated Mr. Peanut.  So it only makes sense that this is the year that Warner Brothers used the launch of their new streaming service to announce the imminent release of the controversial "Snyder Cut" of Justice League.

Listen in as Jake, Tom and their pal Ryan discuss why they both wanted to see this version of the film, yet didn't really wanna see bad behavior rewarded.  Find out whether or not they think this will lead to further alternate cuts of older films, as well as how this will effect the DC brand as a whole.

But that's not all!  After what seems like years of buildup, the guys have finally had a chance to get their hands on HBO Max!  Has the service lived up to the hype?  Does the platform have enough content to justify the added expense, and what will this all mean to Warner's other streaming service...?

Picking up immediately where the guys left off from last week, the guys sit down with Roe to talk about some of the oddest news stories of the lockdown.  Topics include:

A newscaster photobombing herself with her own unknowing husband

Fisticuffs breaking out because a man's face mask reminds another man of the lingerie laying around his house

A Shoplifter getting caught in the act has a novel way to defend themselves against the store's security

And, once again, Florida lives down to it's reputation

Along the ways, the guys discuss Roe's awesome/horrifying Christmas gift to his employees, as well as the time Jake bonded with a friend as a result of their shared trauma.

Not gonna lie to ya, folks - This one got away from the guys in all the right ways!  What stated out as a routine discussion quickly spiraled into a discussion the weird time the comic book industry went through in the 90's, recently discovered Easter Eggs in the Star Wars and Marvel franchises (as well as the news regarding how Marvel is planning on bringing the X-Men into their continuity), as well as a whether or not a Stormtrooper is still a Stormtrooper after they take their helmets off.

But without a doubt, the crown jewel in this discussion are the stories Roe shares about his neighborhood.  Everything is here!  From the leather-clad husband & wife arguing in the street & the rider lawnmower drag races to the weekly fistfights and overly excitable interior decorator, this episode has it all folks, and all you gotta do is click "Play"!

Being that they're stuck indoors and there really isn't a whole lot shaking in the world of geek culture, Jake and Tom decided that they were pretty much gonna wing it for this episode.  So they brought in their friend Roe (host of the weird, wonderful & strange podcast, "Project: Archivist") to shoot the breeze.  Listen in as the three of them have one of the funnier conversations you're gonna find in this feed, as the fellas discus the following:

• Watching talk shows & wrestling without a live audience is just awkward.

• When you think about it, even under normal circumstances, wrestling is kinda batshit insane.

The best way to defeat Roe in a knife-fight is to first strip down naked.

Jake and Tom have been lucky enough to have had a chance to talk to all sorts of folks through the years.  But until now, they've never had a chance to talk to a bona fide talk show host.

That's where TC Restani comes in.

TC hosts the long-running, award winning YouTube show, "After Hours With TC Restani", in which he's sat down with actors from the big and small screen, singers, stars from the world of adult entertainment, and even an inebriated Pat Morita!

But that's not all - TC is also something of an "insider" when it comes to the stranger than real life world of professional wrestling.  Recorded mere days before the biggest event in the wrestling year, listen in as TC takes the time to share his experiences in some of the biggest and most infamous events from the last 25 years of sports entertainment!

So listen in as the fellas talk about Tom's experiences with social distancing, Jake's adventures as an "essential worker", when things "got real" for them, the surprisingly positive aspects of living in a world effected by this, effects that this is all having on the world of comic books and entertainment, as well as going through feedback from their friends and listeners to find out how things are shaping up on their end.

But don't let this stuff make you think anything has changed - Jake and Tom still want your help in their quest for world domination!  So they're asking for you to help out by sharing their stuff with your friends, rating them highly on Apple Podcasts, following them on social media, listening in on Tom's guest spots over on "Someone's Favorite Movie" (hosted by friend of the show, Randy Perkins), and by supporting all of the great shows brought to you by their partners in internet radio, Geeks Worldwide!

Let's face it, we all have them - The movies that we know deep down in our heart are bad, but we love them anyway.  Whether its for their nostalgic value or their campy value, we don't care what the world say & we watch them anyway.

That's where Jake and Tom's pal Randy comes in.

You see, in addition to his big dumb comedy show, "Miserable Retail Slave", Randy is the host of a new program called "Someone's Favorite Movie".  In it, he discusses the forgotten classics, the hidden gems, and yes, the guilty pleasures that other shows tend to shy away from.

So listen in as he and the guys sit down to talk about the endurance needed to make it through the "Leprechaun" franchise, the jealousy Jake feels at not being included in this endeavor, as well the strange career of Adam Sandler.

Be sure to help Jake and Tom in their quest for world domination by rating them highly on Apple Podcasts, sharing their stuff with your friends, following them on social media, checking out Tom's guest spots on a certain podcast, and by supporting all of the shows brought to you by the guys' partners in internet radio, Geeks Worldwide!

Listen folks...  Jake and Tom have never claimed to be "high class fellas".  Yeah, they like to think they've had thoughtful discussions on a wide range of topics, but they're not above laughing at dick n' fart stories.  That's where their old pal Roe comes in.  You see, a few years ago, Roe had to give up his annual "This Year In Fecal Matter" show.  And rather than abandon it completely, he simply passed it on to your favorite drunken dorks.

So settle in, get comfortable, and listen in as Jake, Tom, Roe and their friend Toph ask themselves such questions as:

What kind of madman thinks making gin from elephant dung was a good idea?

What were the logistics of Toronto's infamous "Poop Bandit"?

Why does Jake have to heed the call of nature every time his wife drags him along for a shopping trip?

What kind of diet does one need to have to make their poo flammable?

And

If a man is trying to cross Antarctica by himself, why the hell wouldn't he pack a change of underwear?

All of this, and so much more in this edition of "This Year In Fecal Matter".

Be sure to check out Roe on his show "Project: Archivist" & Toph over on "Gravity Beard".  And, as always, be sure to help Jake and Tom in their quest for world domination by rating them highly on Apple Podcasts, sharing their stuff with your friends, following them on Twitter, and by joining in on the conversation over on their Facebook page, "Jake and Tom Conquer the Group"!

Feeling contemplative (and more than a little inebriated), Jake and Tom sit down with their old chums Matt & HAB (formerly of the dearly departed podcast "Couch Party") to look back and talk about all of the technological changes they've experienced in their lifetimes.

What follows is a fun and often times frustrating look back at the tech of their youths, in which the guys begin to wonder whether or not old school arcade games were nothing more than a scam designed to snatch as many quarters from little kids as possible, and how the cell phone was replaced by the Bluetooth as the douchebag weapon of choice.

Along the way, the guys ask themselves what may have been lost by acquiring this new tech.  Have we somehow managed to get dumber as a result of having all of the world's information at our fingertips?  Should we be worried about our phones "spying" on us?  And what are we gonna have to deal with when "deep fakes" become more commonplace?

Somewhere in all of this, Jake and Tom get into an argument about one region of Michigan's dialect versus another, the guys look back fondly on the skills of "bar kids", and HAB regales us with the legend of Potato-Top Thompson.

Listen in as the guys discuss whether or not it lived up to their expectations, how this show connects to other installments in the franchise, and how they think it adds to the overall "Trek Legacy".  Along the way, the fellas also discuss their thoughts on CBS All Access as a whole, and Jake discovers an ice cream combination that is pure nightmare fuel!

Jake and Tom have done a lotta different types of shows through the years.  But in all that time, they've never done one devoted almost entirely to two of their favorite subjects: Red Meat and Beer!

Tom was lucky enough to get hooked up with a sampler pack of handmade beef jerky, courtesy of the local artisans at Twizted Jerky, and so he and Jake decided to review it live and on air!  So listen in as your two favorite drunken dorks give you their thoughts on it while also sampling from Tom's collection of cellar aged beer.  Along the way, the guys discuss the series finale of "Arrow", talk about Jake's new hobby of brewing his own mead, and Tom learns the hard way that Carolina Reapers aren't for the faint of heart.

But what a lot of folks forget is that long awaited film is not the only sequel the franchise has spawned.  In 2013, Amazon Prime had an experiment in which they presented their audience a batch of pilots, leaving the viewers to decide which one would be picked up for series.  And sure enough, one of those shows up for selection was a television spin-off of "Zombieland".

Joining Jake and Tom for this very special episode is none other than their good friend and podcasting mentor, Roejen Razorwire, host of the always excellent show "Project: Archivist".

Roe has entrusted the guys to be the custodians of a Project: Archivist tradition, and that's the yearly rundown of the previous year's bizarre news items involving the one subject that no one really ants to talk about.

Stories covered in this episode include the various hijinks from our friendly neighbors to the north, one man's revenge against his boss, how NOT to reintroduce yourself to a childhood friend, the logistics of commercial-grade microwaves, medical emergencies, and an in depth analysis of the average rock band's tour bus.

On this week's episode, Tom and a slightly tipsier than normal Jake go through quite a variety of topics, including a question of barroom etiquette, the food that Tom finds oddly disgusting, the reveal of Joaquin Phoenix's "Joker" costume, the odd controversy surrounding Batman's most important sidekick, as well as a better alternative to DC's proposed "Supergirl" movie.

All of this, however, is before the heart of the episode.

For years, now, Jake has been tormented by Tom in an attempt to make him watch movies outside of his comfort zone.  But for this episode, the tables are turned as Tom watches a movie he's spent a quarter of a century avoiding: 1993's "Demolition Man", starring Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes & Sandra Bullock.

So hit the "play" button and listen in to find out if Tom thinks the movie deserves it's reputation as a beloved piece of 90's nostalgia, or if he thought it was a piece of something else.

Sorry folks, no new episode this week, as Tom decided to take a week off to celebrate both his birthday & wedding anniversary!

But that doesn't mean there isn't anything new to listen to, as the guys dust off another episode of Wizard Rewind!

On this edition, Tom is joined by Nick from the world famous "Epic Film Guys" podcast, as well as the equally notable "RestauRant" podcast!  He came aboard to crack open Wizard Magazine's 2005 "Mega Movie Issue", featuring stories on the films that turned out to be th estarting point of the current film age we're still witnessing today, including Christopher Nolan's first "Batman" movie, Sam Raimi's third "Spider-Man" movie, and Tom Cruise's upcoming "Iron Man" movie (yes, you read that right).

Jake is away this week so he can celebrate his 40th birthday.  So Tom decided to break out the big guns:
Joining him once again for this episode is Matt from the dearly departed "Couch Party" podcast, as well as the legendary Ranty Bastard, former host of the greatly missed "Retail Rant".

Today, the guys are delving deep into the internet and are settling the stupidest debates the can find.

"How stupid?", you ask?

They're stupid enough to wonder if a hot dog is a sandwich.  They ponder the idea of cereal being a soup.  They even try to figure out whether a baby can be considered a vegan if they're fed breast milk.

Y'see...?  It really does get that stupid.

But it was also a helluva lotta fun.  So hit the play button & get ready to laugh at three supposedly grown men as they argue the merits of proper toilet paper etiquette.

In this one, the guys imagine a conversation held between their current selves, as well as their teenage & elderly doppelgangers.

How would these various versions of themselves get along?  What would they warn their younger selves about?  What technology would they give them hints about?  And more importantly, who would get slapped first?

Jake is outta town this week, so Tom has recruited his good friends from the dearly departed Couch Party Podcast to help him out!

Listen in as Tom, Matt & HAB recount the hedonistic days of their youth, before diving into the latest geek headlines.  Topics covered include whether or not the "Star Wars" franchise is in crisis mode and if Kathleen Kennedy should removed as the head of Lucasfilm, who the hell thinks a Morbius movie is a good idea and can Sony's "Spider-Verse" be saved at this point, and is DC's streaming service gonna be another letdown, and can these old men deal with today's comic book stores?

Jake and Tom decided to try something a little different this week.  Instead of their usual topics which center around the world of comics, movies, television and whatnot, they decided to engage in a series of what they like to call "campfire chats".

We've all been there.  We get together with our friends, drinks are being passed around, and we let the conversation take us where it may

Some of this chart are pretty standard for this podcast, such as the dangers of Disney becoming too big of a company, or if the world really needs this many "Star Wars" movies.  Other subjects, well...  They're kinda oddball, but they're still a lotta  fun.

"How oddball", you ask?  Well, the guys go on to debate such topics as what kind of real world effects teleportation would have, and whether or not film and television actors are becoming an obsolete profession.

Like we said, it's kind of an oddball show, but the guys had a lotta fun recording it!  In fact, if you wanna suggest topics of your own, feel free to submit them to drunkendorkpodcast@gmail.com

This includes a brief review of the Star Wars spinoff, "Solo", an even briefer review of "Deadpool 2", the most recent behind the scenes shakeups at the DCEU, what they're hoping for out of "Wonder Woman: 1984", "Green Lantern Corps" "Blackhawk", the individual "Joker" movies, as well as the recent rumors about DC's streaming service.  Plus, Jake gives his opinions on the end of "Legion", the beginning of "Cloak and Dagger", Andrew Lincoln pulling the escape hatch from the "Walking Dead", and why no one should care about the upcoming "Spawn" movie!

But that doesn't mean there's nothing for their loyal listeners to hear, as the guys polish off another episode of "PodFix Presents: Wizard Rewind"!

Listen in and journey back with the guys to the distant year of 2005.  It was a time when DC Comics was announcing the start of their "52" and "All-Star" projects, utilizing the talents of creators like Frank Miller, Jim Lee, Grant Morrison, and Frank Quietly.  The hottest show on television, "Lost", was finally arriving on DVD.  There were rumblings of beloved director Joss Whedon taking on a "Wonder Woman" movie, "V For Vendetta" was storming the box office.  And the morality of superheroes was being called into question.

Have you ever experienced one of those things that you didn't know how much you wanted it until you had it in your hands?

Jake and Tom had just such an experience with the show, "Cobra Kai".  Being children of the 80's & 90's, they of course grew up with the saga of Daniel Larusso, and so they were naturally a little hesitant to see the story continue after almost 30 years.  As such, they brought in the friends, Peter (host of the excellent "Podstalgic") to discuss what they wanted from s show showing Johnny Lawrence's side of the story.

Flash forward almost two months, and the guys reconvened to discuss what has surprisingly turned out to be one of their favorite new shows of the year.  Listen in to find out what they thought of where the classic characters have wound up, what they think of the the new characters, and why Coors Banquet is such an awful beer.

And for more extensive coverage of Cobra Kai, head over & listen to TV Ate My Brain for Peter & Tom's in depth analysis of each individual episode, interviews with members of the show's cast, and much more!

Due to scheduling conflicts, there will sadly be no new episode of Jake and Tom Conquer the World.

Instead, the guys are reaching into the archives to share another episode of "PodFix Presents: Wizard Rewind"!  This time around, the guys are shining a spotlight on Issue 100, covering such topics as the artwork of Alex Ross, the fear over the impending Y2K scare, Marvel's MC2 imprint, what they think would be the most likely outcome in a fight between Darth Maul & Darth Vader, and then breaking news that the role of Wolverine had been recast with an unknown Aussie actor.

Over the years, Jake and Tom have grown to be pretty big fans of the collaborations between Netflix & Marvel.  So when the time came to review the first new episode of Jessica Jones in three years, the guys decided to break out their microphones & give it their "Before and After Review" treatment!

Along the way, they made sure to spend a little time on some of the bigger geek news, including Jake's anticipation for the launch of a new RPG system, casting announcements on the small screen adaptation of Garth Ennis's "The Boys", DCEU contract negotiations, Jake's growing hatred of leaked photos, and Tom's continued frustration over the way a certain comic book "artist" keeps failing upward.

Join Jake and Tom as they take another dive into the news bag to talk about all the latest developments in the world of geek culture!

Among the stories the guys cover, Joss Whedon exits the "Batgirl" movie, Kristen Wiig is in talks to co-star in the new "Wonder Woman" movie, DC makes announcements regarding their online television shows, Marvel releases a trailer for one of their upcoming small screen projects, and a nerd icon has a brush with death.

Then after the break, the guys return for one of their retro reviews, in which the tables are reversed!  For years now, Tom has subjected Jake to movies that fall outside of his wheelhouse.  But now it's his turn to sit down and watch something he'd otherwise never give a chance, as they finish out the show by sharing their thoughts on the 2004 Disney film, "National Treasure"!

Jake is laid up this week, a victim of a knee that, in the words of his doctor, "Looks like sh!t".

So, unfortunately, there will be no new episode of "Jake and Tom Conquer the World".

But, because Jake and Tom don't wanna leave their audience in the lurch, what you'll be getting instead will be an episode comprised of the best bits left on the "cutting room floor".  In them, the guys and their guests go over previous topics such as well wishes for a fellow podcaster's upcoming wedding, Netflix's "The Defenders", the future of the streaming industry, predictions about Star Wars & Shazam, as well as the consequences of Jake's experiments with the game of golf!

Every once and awhile, Tom tries to expand Jake's cinematic horizons by introducing him to movies he might not otherwise watch.  Every once and awhile, such as the time he had Jake watch "The Shawshank Redemption", Jake discovers a movie he greatly enjoys.  Usually, though, he ends up cursing Tom out for making him waste an hour and a half of his life, such as when they reviewed "They Live".

This time around, however, Tom has recruited friend of the show HAB (formerly of the Couch Party Podcast), to convince Jake why he should appreciate the dark Western, "Bone Tomahawk".  This movie is filled with thing Jake loves: Gunslingers, Heroes & Damsels in Distress, all with a light touch of horror.

Did Tom finally find another movie that Jake will like, or will Jake wanna leap through his microphone & box Tom's ears?  You"ll only find out if you listen...

It's the holidays, and Jake and Tom have decided to take a week off.  But rather than leaving their audience without an episode, they asked their pal, Peter, for a favor.

Y'see, a few years ago, Peter needed some similar help with his show, Podstalgic (formerly known as "Hydrate Level Four"), and Jake and Tom filled in for him for a week.  And this is that very episode.

For the uninitiated, Podstalgic is a great show in which Peter and his guests look back at movies from our collective past in order to see if they hold up to today's standards. And for this episode, Jake and Tom revisited the two-hour pilot episode of "Lois and Clark" The New Adventures of Superman".

Listen in as the guys discuss their memories of watching the show live, as well as what still works in the show & what might feel a little clunky after more than 20 years.

If you want to hear more of this type of podcast, you're HIGHLY encouraged to listen to Peter on his podcasts Podstalgic and We Got Five.

This week, Tom convinced Jake to watch not one, but TWO of the movies he'd been nagging him about for years. First up is 2011's quiet, yet hyper-violent thriller, "Drive".  And that is quickly followed up by the science-fiction classic, "Blade Runner".

Did Jake find an appreciation for these films? Did they live up to the hype that Tom brought to the discussion?  Or is this another instance where Jake is cursing Tom out for wasting more of his time?  The only way to find out is by listening...
