Jake and Tom Conquer the World

Returning to the show is Jake & Tom's good friend, Roejen Razorwire!  Not only is Roe a fellow podcaster & Couch Party alumnus, but he is also a massive Start Wars fan. So it goes without saying that the guys would have him on to talk about the release of Disney's first Star Wars Anthology film, Rogue One!  Two of the guys loved it, one of them merely liked it, but they can all agree that they're excited for the future of the franchise.  Afterwards, they discuss the release of a teaser trailer to the long gestating sequel to the film classic, Blade Runner, and whether or not a sequel is even needed for that story.

Thank you once again to Roejen for stepping in for the show.  If you like what you hear from him here, be sure to check out his main show, Project Archivist.

Jake & Tom are getting ready to take a vacation!  But before they take off & hand the keys to next week's guest hosts, they decided to go through their past episodes and found some pretty cool outtakes!

Included in them are clips from past guests, such as Sarah Belmont explaining some of the in's and out's of life in Alaska, Devin Priester's favorite way to watch Django Unchained, and Don Smith's love of Dr Who.

Not ony that, but there are also not one but TWO lost episodes!  One featuring Podcaster Randy Perkins, and the other is one of the "lost demos" Jake and Tom recorded before launching their first episodes!

On this episode, Jake and Tom talk about the seventh season premiere of The Walking Dead.  So, needless to say, ***SPOILER ALERT***.  If you wanna avoid hearing them give their opinions on the events of that episode, skip ahead to the 21:00 mark of the program.

Other topics brought up in the show include how the year 2016 kicked fandom in their collective nuts yet again, the United Nations chosing a fictional character as an ambasador, major shakeups behind the scenes of the next Deadpool film, as well as two equally great but vastly different movie trailers!

Afterwards, the guys discuss one of their genuine heroes, the late comedian, George Carlin.  They explain how Carlin impacted their lives & outlook on the world, as well as their thoughts on his brand new album, "I Kinda Like it When a Lotta People Die".

Except rather than treat this like a normal review, the guys have brought out an old staple of their's - The "Before and After" Review, in which they got together prior to the show's air date to talk about what they wanted to see on the upcoming season of "The Flash" (as well as the entire roster of DC's television lineup), only to reconvene later after watching it to compare notes on what they saw.
